ABOUT OUR LITTLE TIGERS CLASSES
Little Tigers martial arts classes are tailored for children aged 3, 4, and 5.
Our Little Tigers classes have been running for over a decade now and have shown great success in helping our youngest students make their start into training physical health. We have three classes a week, incorporating the development of skills such as listening, turn taking, teamwork, and following instructions. We also practice coordination exercises, flexibility, and speed. We also help the children to learn how to hold, strike, and kick training equipment like focus pads and encourage the positive sides of physical movement.
Students can progress into the Karate or Kick Boxing classes once they collect all 6 badges from our badges system. Our badges include punching, kicking, blocking, stances, striking, and body weight movements. We host 3 badges lessons a year, where parents can observe the lesson and our youngest students get a chance to demonstrate what they have been learning and earn their newest badge.
If you have a 3, 4, or 5 year old and you’re interested in joining us, please contact us here.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
Arrival Time
If it’s your first class, we recommend arriving 15 minutes before your class begins, just in case you have trouble locating us
Comfy Workout Clothes
Don’t worry that you won’t have a uniform to begin with. Just wear something comfortable that you enjoy to exercise in
Eating Before Exercise
We recommend that if you need to eat something, that is light and easy to digest. Please do not come to classes directly after consuming large heavy meals.
Contact
Please contact Helen to arrange for any of these items or to advise on sizing. You’ll also be able to see photos of any of our branded items by visiting our shop.
Bring Water
All students must be a bottle of water with them, and we recommend writing your name on it, so if it can be returned to you, if left at the dojo
Other equipment
You should always wear your uniform, however in the summer we do have T-shirts you can wear with your gi bottoms. On our harder floors in the winter, you can wear socks, but they must have good grip on the soles of the sock.
Summer Uniform
During the summer, when temperatures approach or exceed 30 degrees (during the time of the lesson), you can wear your NKMA Summer Uniform, which consists of shorts/gym shorts, t-shirt/crop top.
